Here I chose to treat the same melody in different styles through a theme and variations. This is the most obvious vehicle to best demonstrate how a good melody can transcend time as each variation is a different style and from a different period. Play with an ever increasing application of energy. In the fifth variation, pay special attention that the syncopations line up - don't rush.
